Our classrooms and corridors came alive again this September.
6th Class were learning about the Feast of Mabon during this time of the Autumn Equinox. That lead us on to explore the pagan ‘Wheel of the Year’ and all the festivals associated with it.
It happens to us all at some time or another, but it just so happened that we all had a ‘Bad Hair Day’ on the same day in 6th Class!
1st Class played Guess Who!
And welcomed Autumn’s beauty.
In 6th Class we were learning about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We all chose a different Article and illustrated it. It was quite a poignant and powerful topic – it created great conversation and debate.
2nd Class learned about the Irish legend, Oisín in Tír na nÓg.

Senior Infants have been dreaming of summer days!
In 6th Class we were using the Pointillist technique to create optical mixing in our Autumn scenes.

6th Class started off the year with a bit of Zentangle work being conscious of positive and negative space while using line and form. We then had an explosion of citrus fruit to brighten up the classroom.
4th Class learned about the legend of The Children of Lir.
